Get ready for Caffe Luxxe!

Sometimes when you’re working with vendors, things just click. That’s how we feel about our business relationship with Gary Chau and Mark Wain, co-owners of Caffe Luxxe, which introduced the artisanal coffee movement to Los Angeles in 2006. As you know, we love to create delectable treats that are as beautiful as they are delicious. We’ve searched high and low for the perfect cup of coffee to complement our delicious creations and found a wonderful companion in the coffees roasted by our neighbor to the south, Santa Monica-based Caffe Luxxe.

Caffe Luxxe believes in the value of excellently crafted coffee that is as ethical as it is divine, so of course we couldn’t resist the opportunity to feature a selection of their artfully roasted coffees in our store. You see, Gary and Mark specifically aspire to celebrate the café culture of Europe - something that we are also committed to honoring at Lilac Pâtisserie. Gary and Mark also have a knack for bringing out the best in their beans, which they source from reputable growers all over the world. And the experts are on to them. Caffe Luxxe has received numerous accolades and recognition from local and national publications, including Los Angeles Magazine, EaterLA, and The Louis Vuitton City Guide. And the experts agree: Caffe Luxxe coffees are consistently rated 90 points or higher by the coveted industry guide, Coffee Review. We absolutely adore the complexity of flavors they are able to create through the roasting process. And the dark, rich flavor profile that their coffees tend towards, reflective of their European aspirations, means that a cup of coffee roasted by Caffe Luxxe is the perfect compliment for a slice of one of our signature cakes.

We will serve Caffe Luxxe’s Testa Rossa blend and Decaf blend as our espresso and drip coffee offerings and we will feature a single origin roast daily which will change seasonally.
